Research Methodology

CERHA’s research is independent and evidence-based. We draw on fieldwork where possible, open sources, expert testimony, parliamentary evidence and partnership with civil society in the Horn of Africa and the diaspora.

Standards

• Clear geographic and thematic scope
• Distinction between evidence, analysis and recommendation
• Protection of sources where safety requires it
• Correction of factual errors when we are made aware of them

Events and briefings

Parliamentary roundtables and seminars are used to test findings with practitioners and elected representatives. Event summaries are published on Research & Publications when they are ready.
