Aims and Objectives
1. Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution
- To promote peaceful settlements of conflicts through inclusive dialogue and non-
violent approaches.
- To support local, national, and regional initiatives for peace and reconciliation.
2. Research and Policy Development
-To conduct independent, evidence-based research on political, social, and economic
challenges facing the Horn of Africa.
-To publish policy papers, reports, and briefings that inform decision-makers and civil
society.
3. Promotion of Democracy and Governance
-To advocate for democratic values, participatory governance, and the rule of law in
the region.
-To monitor and report on elections, civil liberties, and institutional integrity.
4. Human Rights and Justice
-To promote and protect fundamental human rights across the Horn of Africa.
- To highlight issues of injustice, marginalisation, and discrimination.
5. Public Engagement and Education
-To organise conferences, roundtables, seminars, and community forums to
disseminate research and promote dialogue.
-To raise awareness of the region’s challenges and opportunities among international
stakeholders.
